Plot[]
Matthew has organised a trip on a narrow boat for himself. He boasts about how organised he is but keeps forgetting things and needing Sooty and Sweep's help. Later, Matthew falls asleep on his boat and dreams that Butch the Pirate has boarded his boat and Sooty comes to his rescue. Matthew is so grateful, he tells Sooty they can go anywhere he wants. Sooty wants to go to a place where there is sand, ice-cream, and a pier. So, Matthew takes them to Wigan, one of the very few canals to have a pier, and as for the sand, Matthew has found them some sand to play in on the back of a truck!
