'''Birthday Boy''' is an episode of Sooty & Co. from the show's last ever series in 1998. It was planned to be the final episode of the series, however as it was Matthew Corbett's last series behind Sooty, the crew filmed an episode where Matthew was remembered so this episode was shifted to an earlier slot in the series.

Plot[]

It's Sooty's birthday, but Sooty is very sad because everyone has forgotten his birthday. When the others realise, they rush out to buy presents for a surprise party. Sooty, left alone, sadly decides to leave home. The others return and prepare the yard for the party, whilst Soo attempts to cheer Sooty up. Finally they all go to the yard for a party. There is a huge cake with Matthew hidden in it so he can leap out, but Scampi has put gunge in with real cake mixture in it, so Matthew sploshes about. They sing Sooty a special birthday tune 'Many Happy Returns'.
